We're Moving

To North Carolina! What?! You might be asking yourself. We'll let me give you the low-down.
Jeff graduated last March with his Master's in Healthcare Administration. He's been looking for a job for a long time now and everyone keeps telling him he needs experience. How's he supposed to start aquiring that almighty and important experience if he's been in school?!
He works at a surgery center right now and he's been talking to a lot of the sales reps that come in. He decided that that is what he would like to do.
Well, a wrench was thrown into the works.
One day, after one of our MANY job discussions, Jeff finally came out with it. He said he really wanted to be a Seminary teacher.
I was like "WHAT?!". I knew he has always wanted to teach and he'd mentioned seminary teaching but that was the extent of it.
So, this was in August. I called around and the University of Utah was the only school that offered night classes for the seminary pre-service program. He's been taking the classes since then and has been really loving it.
In the mean time, he has continued looking for a medical sales job because the seminary teaching program is extremely competetive and they tell you that you need a back-up plan.
Jeff talks to EVERY sales rep that comes into the surgery center so that he can find out what he needs to do to get a job in medical sales.
A few weeks ago the OrthoPro rep said that they are looking to expand back east.
We've said since we got married that we'd love to live far away for a while.
They interviewed him and offered him the job when the interview was over. They told him he could choose between 4 states. Illionis, Alabama, Tennessee, or North Carolina. It wasn't a hard decision. North Carolina hands down.
The only thing that was holding us back was the seminary program. Jeff won't find out until after a 2 week trial teaching period in May if he'll be selected to student teach for a year. Out of over 100 people, they choose 16 students teachers and then about 5 of the students teachers are selected to become full-time seminary teachers. So, the chances are slim but he still wanted to pursue it. However, we didn't want to pass up the OrthoPro job.
Last Thursday, Jeff went to his class and asked the instructor what would happen if he were to move in the middle of the program.
His instructor told him that they can fly people to where Jeff is and that Jeff can record himself while teaching. If the Lord wants him to be a seminary teacher, it will happen.
So that was our answer. He could do BOTH!
We were so excited. We really felt like that was the answer we were looking for.
Jeff starts his new job February 12th and has a 2 month training period.
The headquarters are in SLC so the training's here.
Then we move to NORTH CAROLINA the middle of April.
It all seems like it's working out. The only tough thing is that I'll be over 7 months pregnant when we move. That's going to be a little scary for us but we feel like it's the right decision for our family.

We're having...

BROTHERS! Yep, we're having a boy. I thought it was a girl and then a week ago I was thinking... Am I alright if we have a boy? I just hadn't prepared myself for it. But it looks like I'm not the only one who thought girl cause the voting results we 24 pink votes and only 4 boy votes. When the tech showed us it was a boy, the first thought I had was BROTHERS! I always love it when I hear people say, the Johnson brothers or Johnson boys, or something like that. I look at Kam and think, "Can this cuteness be duplicated?" We'll find out, it looks like he's going to have a little healthy competition. Due date is still June 21st and everything looked good.

Wow, you are old!

When my brother turned 30 we had a surprise party for him. Jeff said, "Don't do anything like that for me." So, I respected his wishes and did it anyway. It wasn't a big ole party, just a small one with family. Hey, I'm a yellow, it can't be helped.
He asked me if I had anything planned and told him I hadn't really thought about it. wahaha
I blindfolded him and drove him all around. I was talking to my mom about some friends that were moving and I said, "Oh yeah, we just passed their house." Kinda defeats the purpose of the blindfold.
Jeff loves Hannah Montanta

A lot
For reals though, he's old. He was so surprised. We went to Los Hermanos and all of his family was upstairs. (minus the ones who live in another state or have broken appendages.)
I know that's an ugly 3. I should have practiced.
Thanks for coming everybody.
Kam was pooped but he loves a good party.

Tax Season

Well you all know what time of year it is. TAX SEASON!! Yeah. My sis-in-law Andrea is an accountant. She graduated from ISU with a degree in accounting and has worked 3 tax seasons for 2 different accounting firms. Now she has a baby and a job closer to home. She charges less than an accounting firm because she's independent, no overhead. She's done our taxes since we've been married and has done a great job. Very fast too. If anyone is interested feel free to email her and she will get in touch with you. Her email address is andreadyanne@hotmail.com.

Pregnancy dreams

We find out what we're having in 2 weeks. Do you think it's a boy or girl? Give your answer on the pole to the right.
We don't really have a preference. It would be fun to have to little boys and they could be buddies or a girl and have one of each.
I think it's a girl which means it's probably a boy. :) Jeff keeps going back and forth, that way he can say he was right.
I've had 3 dreams that it's a girl!
What do these mean?
First dream-SHE was breech, 6 weeks early, c-section, and we named her Mya.
Second dream-SHE was 6 weeks early, my brother was supposed to watch HER and drop her off at my sisters house but was late. I really needed to nurse her because it had been 6 hours since she ate. He dropped her off and Rachel had the baby in the car seat and was standing out in the driveway waiting for me. Now, I know this was a dream because Rachel was waiting on me!
Third dream-SHE was 6 weeks early, rolling over at 1 month, and freaking me out that we'd have to buy another crib cause she couldn't sleep on the changing table anymore. (Not that I'd really do that with my baby.)
Now, I'm really hoping that the baby doesn't come 6 weeks early cause we've already got stuff planned. Pregnancy dreams are just trippy anyway.

Wrappin Up The HoliDAYZ

Dani & Natalie helping Kam start Christmas Eve off with a Johnson favorite:
Eggnog, Vanilla Ice Cream, & 7-UP

Kam spent the evening playing with legos.

That's pretty much all he does at Grandma & Grandpa Johnson's.

Worn out from all the fun at G&G's.
We sleep under the tree every year on Christmas Eve.
(In a few years we're going to have to do it on Christmas's Eve's eve.)

CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!

Why play with one toy at a time when you can put many to good use?

Kam showing Grandma his new gloves.

It's so nice, Jeff's parents come and visit all their kids. We didn't leave our house at all on Christmas day. The Barthlome's got together on New Year's and we had our little Christmas celebration.

Kamden & Paisley got tractors and animals.
Um...I think Kamden was a little excited.
Andrea & I got purses. We were way excited.
You should have heard Andrea screaming with excitement.
She just couldn't contain herself. haha
What are my parents doing to my SON?
All the girls got some sort of lip gloss/girly thing & Kam wanted a part of it.
Thanks Dad.

This morning, all the girls wanted their nails painted & GG didn't want to leave poor Kamden out.

He selected his color...

And yes, he has purple on the bottom and pink for his top coat.

Christmas was so fun this year. We are so blessed to be able to enjoy it and celebrate it as we wish. I'm so glad we live close to Jeff's family and that we could spend it with them.
