Hand, Hand, Finger, THUMB!

Dum Ditty Dum Ditty Dum Dum Dum

So the other day my friend was holding Mac and said, "Oh, he's sucking his thumb."
He'd never done it before and it was SO cute so I of course went for my camera.
It was like he drug his hand across his mouth and his thumb just happened to stay there.
HOWEVER...I thought it was a one time thing. No, it's not. I really really really do not want a thumb sucker. It's oh so cute and he loves it but he'll thank me later. I've been putting socks on his hands but yesterday, he was sucking his thumb through the sock!
I'm not saying that I'm blaming my friend or anything but....haha

Binky=Yeah (it can be taken away)
Thumb=Bad (it's there...for life)
The rest of the pics are just for your viewing plea-zure.
"More Books!" (Kamden)
"Okay, one more." (Daddy)
"More Books!!!" (Kamden)McKay's first bites of oatmeal.
He liked it better the 2nd time.

I took some pics of Shena's little girl before she got her hair cut.
Kam thinks she's great but he wasn't about to let her have all the attention.
They love to play together.
I have so many pics of Kam with blurry appendages.
When he's moving, it's FAST!

Festival of Leaves

A few weekends ago, we went to the Autumn Festival of Leaves in Mt. Airy.
It's a little town about an hour away and Jeff and I love it. It's where Andy Griffith (see previous post...I knew it)grew up so there's lots of memorabilia and fun stuff to do.
It looks like Jeff is saluting but he's looking over the crowd of people.

So many people came up to Mac and would talk to him while I had him in the sling.
They would see those bright baby blues looking out at them and couldn't resist!
I love this baby.
The drive to Mt. Airy is SO amazing. The freeway is lined with trees and our favorite part is Pilot Mountain. It's the strangest looking mountain I have ever seen.

It was sprinkling just a little but still made for a fun walk to the top. Kamden could barely contain himself. He was all over the trails. That boy has fun wherever he goes.

The Knob

(It's called the Pinnacle but to me...it's a knob)

good times, good times

We haven't been up to too much lately.
Just loving living life with the ridiculously cute boys.
Jeff put the frog there, not Kamden.
He is oh so close to the almighty roll over. When he's on his back he can get on his side and almost his tummy.
I thought this was so funny.
During his bath he held on to the faucet the entire time.

He was snoring too!

I got a bunch of cars for Kamden at a consignment sale. He's been in heaven ever since.
So many to line up now.

Notice his pile of "amals" (animals) at the end of the windowsill? I was reading that it's actually good for toddlers to do this. Learning to sort is a major step in their development.
I was actually worried that Kam might have a little OCD but turns out, that is a pretty common concern for toddlers. Don't get me wrong, he still freaks when his toys are disturbed in the slightest but at least we know it's a phase.
His "drogs" (frogs) are sleeping.

Hotel for Smurfs

These shrooms were right out our front door. For about 5 days we watched them multiply in size. Every time we walked past Jeff would say, "Man, those are huge! How can they get any bigger? "

and then they would
